Our team includes experienced math educators, engineers, marketers, and business people who are passionate about providing teachers with the best classroom content and interactive tools to help students excel at deeply understanding math.

What We Are Looking For

Our sales are growing and so is our team. Conceptua Math is seeking a talented, creative mathematics content developer with strong writing skills and an extensive background in early elementary mathematics to develop content for an online, standards-aligned, research-based, interactive curricular product. You will dig into research on teaching mathematics developmentally and will work collaboratively with other content team members, tool designers, engineers, and university-based reviewers.


  • Write early elementary K-2 mathematics content for online, standards-aligned, research-based, interactive curricular product
  • Use a proprietary development tool to create content and interactions in real time.
  • Create rich mathematical tasks (e.g., MARS tasks)
  • Work closely with university-based and teacher reviewer team and revise content as needed
  • Work collaboratively with a product manager, tool designers, engineers, and other content developers
  • Contribute to the educational design of interactive tools
  • Develop lesson plans
  • Adhere to company editorial style guide and suggest improvements as needed


  • BA required; MA/EdM in math education, education, or educational technology preferred
  • 5+ years experience developing elementary mathematics content, preferably in an online environment
  • A love of math and strong belief in the use of interactive visualizations to teach math conceptually
  • Deep understanding of K-2 mathematics curriculum and instruction (G3-5 also a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of the Common Core Mathematics Standards, especially the Standards for Mathematical Practice
  • Ability to attend to details at the lesson level while simultaneously considering the goals and needs of the overall product scope and sequence
  • Highly motivated self-starter requiring minimal direct supervision
  • Passionate about elevating the role of teachers and deepening students' understanding of fundamental math concepts
  • Elementary mathematics teaching experience preferred

This is a full-time salaried position with benefits (medical, dental, vision) and stock options located in our San Rafael, CA office headquarters with partial telecommuting as needed.
